Ok we talked about the “T” in “T.E.A.M.”

Now lets move on to see what separates the BEST personal trainers from the “exercise instructors”.

The “E” in “T.E.A.M” is for EDUCATION.

You need to EDUCATE your clients. Educate them on everything from proper exercise technique to proper nutrition.

I see most trainers TELL their clients what to eat or how to do an exercise but most do not tell them WHY!

We educate our clients because we want them to LEARN from us how to do things the right way.

When we give them an exercise to do we don’t just say “ok do this exercise first and then this one over here second”.

When we have them do an exercise we tell exactly how they will benefit from this specific exercise and educate them further by telling them exercises to stay away from (and the reasons why as well).

When it comes to nutrition if you don’t educate your client in detail why this specific nutrition program will work for them you risk your client resisting the process and not making the progress they should.

A CONFUSED MIND ALWAYS SAYS NO!

Our nutrition plan requires most of our clients to eat more food than they were eating prior to working with us.

Can you imagine us just simply telling our new client to “just eat more food and you will lose weight…trust us”?

They wouldn’t understand in any detail HOW this is going to work from them and HOW they will benefit.

They would end up either not doing it at all or trying it and giving up very quickly.

Now if we explain our complete nutrition program to them and them we EDUCATE on the HOW and WHY this will work for them they begin to understand.

You can actaully see them start to get it!

When you EDUCATE them on how their metabolism works and how, by eating this way, they will make their metabolism MORE effiicent and will lose weight the begin to put the pieces together.

The more you EDUCATE them the more they understand the more the stick to the program under your guidance..period!

Once you have an EDUACTED client they have acquired the knowledge that the can take with them wherever they go and benefit from it.

Educate and teach your clients in detail. Your job becomes easier and their results come quicker.
