Personal Trainer Marketing
More training clients come easy…if you let them!
Here is a follow up on my last post about how I landed a new client while at the bookstore.
Face to Face marketing is my absolute favorite way to generate new personal training clients!
It is my favorite strategy for a few reasons
- It is very EASY
- It doesnt cost you anything
- You can do it almost everyday
- and IT WORkS!
So I am sitting in the coffee shop at our local bookstore enjoying my iced tea when I overhear 2 women sitting behind me talking about gaining weight and needing to workout.
How much easier can it get?
They NEED to lose weight and WANT to start working out!
Well I get people in shape and help them lose weight by working out!
What a perfect match!
But what happens from here is where it gets important!
You wanna know WHY most trainers struggle?
The honest reason?
THEY SIMPLY ARENT AGGRESSIVE ENOUGH!
Most trainers arent aggressive at all with their marketing!
Most trainers wouldnt even approach them after overhearing this conversation!
Why?
Scared of rejection perhaps.
Not me though!
I aint scerd……………………lol!
I turned around and introduced myself as they noticed my shirt that says “PERSONAL TRAINER” on it.
After a few questions and some small talk one of the ladies asked me for my business card.
But you know what…I DIDNT GIVE IT TO HER!
Why?
I wanted her to come in for a consultation and didnt want her to wait another day so I pressed the issue!
I was AGGRESSIVE!
i WAS NOT pushy or rude…but aggressive!
I remind her of what she said early…she gained weight and NEEDED to lose weight.
I then told her I had an opening in my schedule for later that day and she agreed to come in.
I then asked for her business card and told her I would call in a bit to confirm.
I did this to see how committed she was to coming in…if she wasnt willing to give me her card I could pretty much assume she wouldnt show up.
She gave me her card and ended up coming in later that same day and signed up for 2 months worth of training sessions.
Face to Face marketing is a very powerful strategy…IF YOU USE IT!
GET AGGRESSIVE AND GO GET MORE CLIENTS!
